Cinematographer-filmmaker Santosh Sivan is currently directing a British film with legendary actors Harvey Kietel and Gabriel Byrne.
Titled The Lies We Tell, the film also features Om Puri, playing a Pakistani character.
While he is not allowed to talk about the British film that he is shooting in London, Santoshi admitted, "It is surreal to be working with these two actors. Harvey has done films like The Two Jakes, Bad Lieutenant and Mean Streets. He is a legend. So is Gabriel Byrne. They are so down-to-earth and fun to work with."
Incidentally, this is not the first film where Harvey is being directed by an Indian. Four years ago, Harvey was directed by Kranti Kanade in a film titled Against Itself, where Keitel played a Christian missionary in India. It never got released.
Santoshi has directed several internationally acclaimed films like Terrorist, Halo and and Asoka earlier.
