From a Kingfisher calendar girl to starring in The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Tina Desai feels very lucky.
The pretty actress will be seen next in this week's release, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, and co-star alongside the likes of Richard Gere, Maggie Smith, Dame Judi Dench and Bill Nighy. She will romance and 'marry' Dev Patel in the film.
Tina came over to the Rediff offices recently, and had an interesting chat with her fans.

When a Rediff reader asked her which Khan she would like to work with, she picked Aamir Khan.

Tina also let out her style statement: "I like classic, elegant, yet sexy. I love colour, accessorise minimally and hate animal prints. Fun, flirty, feminine works for me."
Her fitness regime, meanwhile, is: "I eat well, exercise religiously and do yoga as well. Eat everything in modersation and do some form of exercise that you enjoy. That's all that matters. :)"
Tina claims she hates intimate scenes but she says, "It becomes easier if your co-actor and director are gentle and understanding."
Tina hasn't been watching the World Cup matches but she's pretty updated about what's going on. She also thinks MS Dhoni is India's best captain! "He has a brilliant strike rate, and never runs out of genius ideas even under tremendous pressure. Deep respect!" she exclaims.
Tina has another Hollywood project coming up, Sense8, an American science fiction drama series. It has been directed by the Wachowschi brothers, who made the Matrix series.
