Sanjay Dutt is finally a free man. And his family, friends and fans could not be more thrilled.
Having completed his sentence in Pune's Yerawada jail for his involvement in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts, the 56 year old is ready to lead a normal and, hopefully (fingers and toes crossed), controversy free existence.
How is Bollywood reacting to Sanju Baba's release? We imagine the scenario in a lighthearted way.
Take a look!
Rajkumar Hirani
After directing Dutt in the super hit Munnabhai franchise and Aamir Khan in two of his career's biggest success, 3 Idiots and PK, Raju Hirani is looking to cast Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt.
At one point, the project looked like a non-starter, but now that the man in focus is finally out of prison, Raju can breathe easy.
Ranbir Kapoor
Be it Kishore Kumar's official biopic or Anurag Basu's detective romp, Jagga Jasoos -- some of his most ambitious projects never take off.
And the ones that do, make him wish they hadn't.
Ranbir must be pleased that Dutt (who told Rediff's Syed Firdaus Ashraf that the Kapoor boy resembled him most!) is free.
He can finally sink his teeth in a role bound to bring him acclaim.
Deepika Padukone
Because she's at the top of her game, makes the best pair with Ranbir and bags all the meaty projects.
Katrina Kaif
Because Fitoor tanked. As did her relationship with Ranbir. And Jagga Jasoos might not even happen. Why, she could even play Sanju Baba!
Sanjay Gupta
The blow hot blow cold friendship between the two Sanjays is stuff Bollywood dostis are made of.
We wont be surprised if Gupta announced Dutt's comeback vehicle. Or if it turns out to be a filter-heavy remake of yet another South Korean flick.
Karan Johar
Every season KaJo's chat show grabs our attention by roping in the hottest guests and their never-heard-before admissions.
Bet he can get the Agneepath actor to open up about his time behind bars (not those bars silly!).
Salman Khan
The Bollywood bad boys have a lot in common. We are quite sure they'll catch up over a drink soon. Boy, what a conversation that will be.
Mahesh Bhatt
Bhattsaab, who directed him in Naam, Kabzaa, Sadak, Gumraah, hasn't always been a vocal voice for Sanju. So much, that we know it by heart now.
