Aftab ShivdasaniAftab Shivdasani will soon be seen in his very first double role. Producer Alok Shrivastav's film Jane Kya Hoga (co-starring Rahul Dev) sees him as both the negative and positive characters.

Aftab's film Darna Mana Hai releases today. He has another release lined up next week: Priyadarsan's Hungama (also starring Akshaye Khanna and Rimi Sen).

Kareena in demand

Kareena Kapoor is on a roll.

Kareena KapoorShe seems to be attracting the best filmmakers and the best projects. First, it was Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani (also starring Salman Khan and Rani Mukerji). Then, it was Deepa Mehta's River Moon (opposite Rahul Khanna). Then, Anant Balani offered her Chameli (with Rahul Bose).

Kareena is also doing a Hindi film with ace Bengali director Rituparno Ghosh. The film may co-star Ajay Devgan.

Now, Deepa wants to sign her for Guru Dutt's Sahib Biwi Aur Ghulam, where she is expected to reprise Waheeda Rehman's character in the main film. Aishwarya Rai will enact Meena Kumari's character. Salman Khan was rumoured to have been a shoo-in for Dutt's role, but reports confirm he is not in the film.

Looks like the fate of her last film, Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon, which fared averagely at the box office, has not affected this charmed actress.

Sony Juneja turns producer

Sony Juneja, son of producer Tito (Do Anjaane, Ram Balram, Mr Natwarlal) has turned producer.

His first film will be directed by K Ravi Shankar (Benaam Badshah, Apradhi). It stars Dimple Kapadia, Moushumi Chatterjee and Amitabh Bachchan (in a guest appearance).

Sony worked as an assistant to Ram Gopal Varma before he turned producer.
