When Rediff.com readers met Aamir...
Aamir Khan turns 50 on March 14 and we asked YOU if you've met the star.
We are elated to receive all the memorable, heartwarming, accounts of your encounters with Aamir!
In the run-up to the big day, Sucharita Mukherjee remembers her meeting with Aamir:
I met him twice in a day -- first was at the Lagaan music launch in Kolkata and the second time as one of the lucky winners from an event at the Lagaan music launch party.
It was a dream come true for me.
I gifted him a teddy rabbit which I had made. When he accepted it, I was on top of the world.
'Happy birthday to you, you are the best,' Sucharita, seen here in the photograph with Aamir, writes.

Vishal Gupta writes in:
I delivered the first computer at Aamir's residence.
This was in 1998-99. I went to his house many times after that to train him on how to use the PC and e-mail.
I remember I carried the PC in my car. He came down himself to pick it up and carry it inside the house.
Aamir loves to work at night and called me at night for help with the computer.

D K Murthy recalls:
Why only me, all residents of 11 buildings in (north-east Mumbai suburb) Chembur's Uttam Society had the pleasure of meeting Aamir Khan for more than 20 days continuously when he shot his best film Taare Zameen Par here.
He is a a soft spoken, pleasing person.
He mingled with everyone happily and we took lots of photographs with him.
When he smiles, his face glows.
