Ace cinematographer Venu, who directed Daya in 1998, returns with the Mammootty starrer Munnariyippu. The film releases this weekend.
Mammootty plays a prisoner named Raghavan, who is serving a sentence for double homicide. He claims to be innocent. His story is brought to the attention of the world by journalist Anjali Arackal (Aparna Gopinath).
Others in the cast are Pratap Pothen, Nedumudi Venu, Renji Panicker, Kochu Preman, Saiju Kurup and Muthumani.
