Alia Bhatt shared posters of her upcoming film, Gangubai Kathiawadi, on social media.
It is based on S Hussain Zaidi's book on female gangsters, Mafia Queens of Mumbai, and the story revolves around the real life story of brothel owner, Gangubai Kothewali.
The film will be directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and is expected to release on September 11.
Apparently, Alia is not only mastering the colloquial language, she will also visit the places where women similar to her character live and work, Subhash K Jha reports.
