Aamir seems to love kushti!
Aamir Khan has tried his hand at various sports -- cricket, boxing, cycling -- in the movies.
But the one he loves to come back to seems to be wrestling.
The actor has never actually played a wrestler but has wrestled hefty pehelwaans in the movies.
Now, he will play a wrestler in his next film, Dangal.
Here's looking at his -- and other Bollywood actors' -- take on wrestling in Hindi cinema.
Akshay Kumar and Undertaker in Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi
This was perhaps the biggest crowd-pulling wrestling sequence ever.
Akshay Kumar took on WWF champion Undertaker at a time when the sport was becoming popular in India.
The makers went all out to promote this sequence and the result was that 'Houseful' boards were up for weeks.
Aamir Khan in Rang De Basanti
Aamir Khan was forced to take on a tall wrestler in a song sequence of Rang De Basanti, to hilarious effect.
Ajay Devgn in Bol Bachchan
Ajay Devgn played a wrestler in Rohit Shetty's Bol Bachchan and was menacing enough that one feared for his opponent, played by Abhishek Bachchan.
It was reported that Devgn lifted 50 kilos, like professional wrestlers do. Even Salman Khan praised him for that.
Salman Khan and Sonu Sood in Dabangg
Sonu Sood played a wrestler in Dabangg, who wrestlers tough cop Chulbul Pandey, played by Salman Khan.
When the two muscle men met, there were fireworks and even though there wasn't any kushti, the fight was impressive.
Aamir Khan in Mangal Pandey
Aamir Khan obviously loves to wrestle. He tried his hand at it in his film, Mangal Pandey, as well.
Amitabh Bachchan and Dara Singh in Mard
Amitabh Bachchan sealed the deal when he declared, 'Mard ko dard nahi hota' (A man does not feel pain) in the iconic fight sequence between him and Dara Singh in Manmohan Desai's Mard.
Their encounter was freestyle, as was to be expected from a Manmohan Desai film, and included everything from wrestling to sword fighting and fisticuffs.
Akshay Kumar in Mr and Mrs Khiladi
Akshay Kumar had his share of fun when he came face-to-face with a Sumo wrestler in David Dhawan's Mr Aur Mrs Khiladi.
The sequence, set in a ring, had Akshay enjoying himself. Since the film was meant for kids, it went down well.
Rajpal Yadav and Khali in Kushti
The only wrestling film in recent times is the Rajpal Yadav-starrer, Kushti, where the actor took on The Great Khali.
The sequence between the two was set in a comic vein but it barely brought any smiles.
Aamir Khan in Dangal
Aamir Khan will be seen as a pehelwan in his next film Dangal, and has piled on a lot of weight for the role.
Let's wait and watch how his third wrestling outing shapes up.
