It's the season of divas turning into grandmothers!
First, it was announced that Sharmila Tagore's elder daughter Soha Ali Khan and her husband Kunal Kemmu are expecting their first child.
Confirming this, Soha says, "Yes it's true. It's very exciting."
Next, came the news that Hema Malini's elder daughter Esha Deol is expecting her first child with husband Bharat Takhtani. Hema's younger daughter Ahana is already a mother.
Confirming Esha's pregnancy, Hema says, "Yes, she is expecting her first child. We're very happy. The baby is expected to arrive by year-end."
Hema Malini also tweeted: 'Deols & Takhtanis are overjoyed to announce that @Esha_Deol & Bharat are expecting their 1st baby. We thk u all for all ur good wishes.'
Incidentally, both Soha and Esha's babies are expected by the end of the year.
