Ehsaan Qureshi seemed to be having the last laugh when he was eliminated from Bigg Boss last week. The stand-up comedian claims that he was glad to get out of 'jail' especially after some of the housemates stopped respecting him after he was nominated for eviction.

He talks to Rajul Hegde about the house politics, and more.

You're out of Bigg Boss. How do you feel?

I feel really good getting out of the Bigg Boss house because I was missing my family. It's like coming out of a jail even though it was an interesting experience.

Why do you say that?

Living in the house for 65 days -- totally disconnected from the outside world without newspapers or television -- is a big achievement. When I came out , I learnt that I was shown onscreen for only about 20 percent. I would religiously go to the gym, do the cleaning, discuss interesting topics -- the housemates would come to me with problems since I was senior, and I would try to solve them. But the channel only showed me when I am resting and doing nothing. I don't blame the channel because they know what to show.

I did not keep a fast on the first day of Ramzan because I am a diabetic. But I fasted from the second day onwards, as I had nothing to do in the house. This was not shown by the channel. This created a controversy in Madhya Pradesh and even my friends started asking me why I did not fast.

What kind of response did you get after coming of the house?

Earlier, people knew me as a comedian. Now, they have seen the real Ehsaan.

Comedy shows and Bigg Boss are for different kinds of audience. I have gained a lot [of mileage] from this show, as I am getting good response from people. Recently, I met a youngster in the airport, who said that he enjoyed watching Bigg Boss. But his mother would tell him to watch Sri Krishna when something vulgar was shown on Bigg Boss.

So
who's really playing games in the house?

The most dangerous person in the house is Raja Chaudhary. After he returned from the secret room, he created lot of misunderstandings. We were under the impression that he was eliminated that week but he was in the secret room the whole time. He became a changed person and started playing games smartly.

What about Rahul Mahajan?

Rahul is shrewd but childish. He was kissing Payal Rohatgi and flirting with girls thinking that that footage will not be shown on television. If people think that is entertaining, then he will win.

Zulfi is a nice guy and I think he will win if the public supports him.

Sambhavna Seth was your closest friend on the show.

Sambhavna is a family friend. I also know her because we have acted in a Bhojpuri film called Hanuman Bhakt Hawaldar. She had done an item song in it. She is a nice girl, who speaks her mind. She participated in all the tasks and activities sportingly in the Bigg Boss House.

Will you keep in touch with the housemates?

Yes. I have not made enemies inside the house. Nominations are part of the game and I don't hold grudges against anyone. Sometimes people didn't like what I said or my jokes.

I have already spoken to Ketakiji (Dave), Sanjay Nirupamji, Alina Wadiwalla and Rakhi Vijan after coming out of the Bigg Boss house. Rahul is planning to start his production house and has promised to give me roles in television shows and films.

What next?

I am getting a lot of film and TV offers. I have being approached by Raju Srivastav to take part in his new show Raju Hazir Ho on NDTV Imagaine . I am doing Sunil Pal's movie Bhaavnao Ko Samjho.
