Coming up this Sankranti: Nannakku Prematho, Dictator

Which film are you looking forward to?

Telugu cinema has some interesting movies coming up during the Makar Sankranti weekend.

Here's a look at what to expect.

 

Nannakku Prematho
Cast: NTR Jr, Rakul Preet Singh
Director: Sukumar

Nannakku Prematho

Slated for January 13, Nannaku Prematho has a stylish-looking NTR Jr. 

Rakul Preet Singh, who has been having a successful run in Telugu cinema, is paired opposite the actor.

Director Sukumar is known for his thought-provoking films. What can we expect from this film, the title of which means, ‘To dad with love’?

Jagapathi Babu plays the antagonist and Rajendra Prasad plays NTR’s father. Madhubala, Vennela Kishore, Rajiv Kanakala and Srinivas Avasarala form the rest of the cast.

Devisriprasad scores the music, Vijay Chakravarthy cranks the camera and Navin Nooli edits the film.

Ravinder is in charge of art and Peter Hein choreographs the action. It is produced by BVSN Prasad.

 

Dictator
Cast: Nandamuri Balakrishna, Anjali, Sonal Chauhan
Director: Sriwass 

Dictator

Balakrishna's 99th film will release on January 14.

It is one of the first Telugu productions of Eros International and Vedhaaswa Creations (of Sriwass).

While Sonal Chauhan will be seen opposite Balakrishna, Shraddha Das will be seen in an item number.

The film also stars Posani, Nasser, Sayaji Shinde, Vennela Kishore and Rati Agnihotri.

Thaman SS is the music director, Gautham Raju is the editor and Shyam K Naidu is the cinematographer.

 

Express Raja
Cast: Sharwanand, Surbhi
Director: Merlapaka Gandhi

Express Raja

Scheduled to release on January 14, Express Raja is produced by UV Creations and directed by Merlapaka Gandhi of Venkatadri Express fame.

Surbhi is cast opposite Sharwanand.

Harish Uthaman, who was last seen in Srimanthudu, also features in this film.

Praveen Lakkaraju composes music and Karthik Ghattamaneni handles the camera.


Soggade Chinni Nayana
Cast: Akkineni Nagarjuna, Ramya Krishna, Lavanya Tripathi
Director: Kalyan Krishna

Nagarjuna

Nagarjuna plays a dual role of a grandfather and a grandson in this film written by Rammohan P. It will release on January 15.

Directed by debutant Kalyan Krishna, Soggade Chinni Nayana is produced under Nagarjuna's banner Annnapoorna Studios.

Brahmanandam will raise the laughter quotient in the film.

After Manam, music director Anoop Reubens and cinematographer PS Vinod have teamed up again for Soggade Chinni Nayana.
