Halle Berry should run for cover!
Her new film Catwoman, which opened today in the US, has been shredded by critics, according to People magazine.
A O Scott of The New York Times writes that watching Catwoman 'is like paging through a fat European fashion magazine at high speed in the lobby of a sleek hotel'.
If it's some consolation for the Oscar-winning Berry, Scott adds that she and co-star Benjamin Bratt 'are nice to look at'. (An aside: Nicole Kidman was the original choice for Berry's role.)
The New York Daily News doesn't beat around the bush. The headline says it all: Bad kitty!
The New York Post isn't far behind either. Its review dubs the film 'purr-fectly ridiculous and boring'.
Evidently, this cat can't mew!
