A look at the hits and misses of the week.

Has Salman Khan broken his Diwali jinx yet?

It remains to be seen, as his latest film Prem Ratan Dhan Payo registered falling collections at the box office over the last few days.

It didn't start on a wrong note though.

The Sooraj Barjatya film registered the highest first day collection of Rs 42 crore when it released on Thursday.

The collections started dropping from Friday onwards, and the four-day weekend made Rs 129 crore at the box office, about Rs 20 crore short of trade expectations. It is expected to further drop as the week progresses.

Trade analyst Vinod Mirani gives us the box office verdict.
