The hits and misses of the week.

Fukrey was a surprise hit when it was released in 2013. Its sequel Fukrey Returns also had an excellent opening weekend, thanks to good word-of-mouth.

The film is a hit already!

Fukrey Returns

Cast: Ali Fazal, Richa Chadha, Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, Pankaj Tripathi.
Director: Mrigdeep Singh Lamba.
What works: Performances, hangover of Fukrey.
What doesn't: Slow pace, forced humour.
Number of weeks: New.
Box Office verdict: Hit.

 

Tera Intezaar

Cast: Sunny Leone, Arbaaz Khan, Arya Babbar, Salil Ankola, Sudha Chandran.
What works: Huh?!
What doesn't: Poor story, poor direction, no continuity, unintentionally funny.
Number of weeks: 1.
Box Office verdict: Flop.

 

Firangi

Cast: Kapil Sharma, Ishita Dutta, Monica Gill, Inaamulhaq.
Director: Rajiev Dhingra.
What works: Nothing!
What doesn't: Film lacks creativity, limited jokes, Kapil Sharma disappoints.
