Singer David Bowie has had angioplasty, forcing him to cancel his European tour.

Bowie fell ill after he performed in Germany last month.

A medical examination revealed that Bowie, 57, had an 'acutely blocked artery.'

'I'm so p***** off,' the rocker said, 'Can't wait to be fully recovered and get back to work again.'

A German newspaper said cardiologists at a Hamburg hospital performed balloon angioplasty on Bowie.

Initially, it was suspected that Bowie suffered from muscular inflammation of his shoulder, which forced him to take a break from his almost year-long Reality world tour. But a detailed medical examination revealed a heart condition in the singer, whose lithe physique has long been the envy of his contemporaries.
