Film producer Boney Kapoor's ex-wife Mona died of cancer on Sunday.
The 48-year-old, who was the CEO of Future Studios, an indoor shooting studio in Mumbai, is survived by two kids Arjun and Anshula.
She had been diagnosed with cancer and was admitted to the Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai two weeks ago.
Mona had recently said on Twitter that she was fed up with enquiries about her health, and that she was "battling stage 3 multiple organs cancer".
Her son Arjun is set to make his debut in Bollywood with Yash Raj Films's 'Ishaqzaade'.
Bollywood celebrities took to Twitter to express their condolences and wished strength for the family.
"Is God feeling insecure? He is calling all good people. Very sad to know about Mona Kapoor's death. She was a very helpful & kind lady. RIP," actor Anupam Kher said on Twitter.
"RIP Mona Kapoorji - she was always kind to people - prayers and strength to the family," Ritesh Deshmukh said.
Filmmaker Karan Johar also tweeted, "Mona Kapoor was one of the most gracious, dignified and loving human beings I knew... she felt only positivity for one and all... RIP ma'm."
Mona and Boney separated after being together for a long time and the producer married actress Sridevi in 1996.
"Will miss Mona Kapoor smile when I shoot at Future Studio next, always had eclairs on her table for guests. RIP," Ken Ghosh tweeted.
"Mona Kapoor leaves a legacy of graciousness and warmth that she gave in abundance to all... heart broken that she has moved on. RIP Mona Aunty," actress Dia Mirza said.
"Shocked to hear the sad demise of MONA KAPOOR, an extremely kind hearted, down to earth lady, May God bless her soul RIP (sic)," director Madhur bhandarkar said.
Actress Bipasha Basu tweeted, "RIP Mona Kapoor! Strength to the family!"
"RIP Mona Kapoor. God bless the family and Arjun. She was truly a gracious and brave woman," director Kunal Kohli said.
Mona's funeral will be held on Monday morning at Pavan Hans, said actress Sonam Kapoor, Boney's niece.
