Bhansali turns to TV, with Saraswatichandra

Jennifer WingetThe latest buzz is that filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali will make a foray into the world of television.

The show will be based on sisters belonging to a middle class Gujarati family.

It will be based on the popular novel Saraswatichandra and the show's title has also been retained Saraswatichandra. This famous novel had been made into an award-winning film in 1968,

starring Manish and Nutan.

TV actress Jennifer Winget, who recently got married, will make a comeback with this show. It will also star Gautam Rode, Monica Bedi and Yatin Karyekar.

It is expected to be telecast in September on a leading channel.
