Women rule these movies!

While Bollywood multi-starrers (think Housefull, Welcome Back) are traditionally dominated by male stars, a spate of upcoming female-centric films are all set to turn the trend on its head.

Here's a look at 10 upcoming movies that boast of multiple heroines at the helm of the story:

Calendar Girls

Female leads: Akanksha Puri, Avani Modi, Kyra Dutt, Ruhi Singh and Satarupa Pyne

After Kareena Kapoor starrer Heroine, Madhur Bhandarkar has roped in five newcomers as protagonists in his new film Calendar Girls.

Set to release September 25, the film's leading ladies -- Akanksha Puri, Avani Modi, Kyra Dutt, Ruhi Singh and Satarupa Pyne -- are all from a modeling background.

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon

Female leads: Elli Avram, Manjari Fadnis, Simran Kaur Mundi and Sai Lokur

While comedian Kapil Sharma has single-handedly driven his television show Comedy Nights With Kapil to prime-time popularity, he chose to star along side as many as four leading ladies for his big screen debut.

While Manjari Fadnis, Simran Kaur Mundi and Sai Lokur play his wives, Elli Avram features as his girlfriend.

Will this foursome be too crowded? Only time will tell.

Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2

Female leads: Nushrat Bharucha, Sonnalli Seygall and Ishita Sharma

The Pyar Ka Punchnama sequel has earned the distinction of being that rare sequel that has all of its original female cast reprising their roles.

Actresses Nushrat Bharucha, Sonnalli Seygall and Ishita Sharma return with an all new story in this new installment set to hit screens on October 16.

Great Grand Masti

Female leads: Sonal Chauhan, Sana Khan, Mishti, Urvashi Rautela, Puja Banerjee and Shraddha Das

There were three leading ladies in Indra Kumar's adult comedy Masti and six in its sequel Grand Masti.

The third installment, titled Great Grand Masti, stars six leading ladies already and counting!

Interestingly, the film has had a record number of actresses being considered for the role (and a couple of them apparently shooting a few portions as well) before replacements stepped in.

Word on the final female head count in this Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani starrer remains awaited but for now we have Sonal Chauhan, Sana Khan, Mishti, Urvashi Rautela, Puja Banerjee and Shraddha Das.

Azhar

Female leads: Prachi Desai, Nargis Fakhri, Huma Qureshi and Lara Dutta

In this biopic based on former Indian skipper Mohammend Azharuddin's life, the four leading ladies play women who have played significant roles in the cricketer's life.

Prachi Desai is Azhar's first wife Naureen, Nargis plays his second wife (actress Sangeeta Bijlani), Huma Qureshi stars as badminton player Jwala Gutta, and Lara Dutta makes an appearance as a lawyer.

The biopic stars Emraan Hashmi in the titular role.

Housefull 3

Female leads: Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon

Continuing its tradition of big star casts, the third Housefull film features three glamorous leading ladies -- Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon.

While Jacqueline was a part of Housefull 2, Nargis and Lisa are new additions.

Sajid-Farhad have replaced Sajid Khan as director, and Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan play the male protagonists.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

Female leads: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma and Sunny Leone

In Karan Johar's first directorial in three years, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma share screen space with the film's hero Ranbir Kapoor.

However, recent reports have suggested that Sunny Leone is set to make an appearance in the film too.

Now THAT, we can't wait to see!

Dangal

Female leads: Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra and Sakshi Tanwar

This Aamir Khan vehicle, slated for a December 2016 release, features newbies Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra as his daughters.

TV actress Sakshi Tanwar plays Aamir's wife in the film.

Fitoor

Female leads: Katrina Kaif, Tabu, Aditi Rao Hydari and Lara Dutta

When this Abhishek Kapoor-helmed romantic drama was announced, it had Katrina Kaif and Rekha as the female protagonists.

However, Tabu had to step in when Rekha developed reservations about her character's vintage.

Aditi Rao Hydari and Lara Dutta have been the latest additions to the cast.

Fitoor hits screens February 2016.

No Entry Mein Entry

Female leads: Nine

When No Entry was released, Bipasha Basu ended up stealing the show despite the presence of Lara Dutta, Celina Jaitley and Esha Deol as leading ladies.

The stakes are even higher in the sequel -- the film's writer-director Anees Bazmee has brought in as many as nine female protagonists this time.

Their names are awaited though.
