Nandamuri Balakrishna

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s 100th film -- a historical drama titled Gautamiputra Satakarni -- was launched recently in a village called Amaravati in Andhra Pradesh.

The film is named after one of the greatest Satavahana rulers, who ruled the Deccan in the early centuries of the Christian era.

This large-scale ambitious project is being directed by Krish (Radhakrishna Jagarlamudi), who has made Telugu films like Gamyam and Kanche, and the Hindi film, Gabbar Is Back.

Devisriprasad will compose the music and the film is being produced by Rajiv Reddy.

"I’m very excited and honoured to narrate the story of a great emperor with a significant importance in the classical period, and even excited as this is the 100th film of the legendary actor Balakrishna Sir," says Krish.
