Telugu filmmaker S S Rajamouli has suddenly become the most sought after filmmaker in Bollywood and for good reason.

His epic saga Baahubali has become the first non-Hindi film to make it to the Rs 500 crore club, joining blockbusters like Dhoom 3 and PK.

The film, which is still being screened on more than 2,000 across the globe, garnered a worldwide collection of Rs 500 crore on Sunday, August 2.

After the humongous success of the film, many celebs took to Twitter to praise the artwork, including superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

"Baahubali what a hard worked at film. 2 every1 involved thanx for the inspiration. U can only reach the sky if u r willing to take the leap!"

Among the many records it has made, Baahubali, the most expensive film to be ever made in India, is now also the first dubbed Indian film (originally made in Telugu and dubbed into Hindi and Tamil) to earn over Rs 500 crore.

The Hindi version smashed box office records by grossing Rs 103 crore as of Monday, August 3 morning, several times more than any other film that was dubbed in Hindi, The Hindu reported.

Before that the Hindi dubbed version of Robot (the Rajinikanth starrer Enthiran originally made in Tamil) had grossed Rs. 23 crore.

Released on June 10, the movie -- starring Tollywood actors Prabhas and Rana Daggubati in lead roles -- is an epic drama about two brothers at war for a kingdom.

Tamannaah Bhatia and Anushka Shetty play the female leads.
