These Bollywood divas sure know the 'shortcuts' to head-turning looks on screen!

Quite a few Hollywood divas have snipped off their gorgeous tresses to sport a striking pixie.

While our girls aren’t SO bold, they have experimented with their looks even if the hairstyle is only a well-crafted wig.

Here’s a list of Bollywood’s pixie heads:

Anushka Sharma, PK

Originally, director Rajkumar Hirani wanted Anushka to chop off her glossy mane and sport an authentic pixie but the perky actress wasn’t keen. Nothing a mop of fake hair cannot fix, yes?

Does she resemble Julia Roberts from Hook?

Parineeti Chopra, Hasee Toh Phasee

As the batty, bespectacled geek girl who dotes on her daddy and has a great many inventions in mind, Parineeti Chopra looks cute as a button in a briefly sported pixie.

Kajol, Dushman

Hairstyle is the easiest way to tell twins apart in a film about them. And that’s exactly what Kajol does by donning a chic short do in the revenge drama, Dushman.

Preity Zinta, Lakshya

Preity Zinta’s locks are one of the most unappealing aspects of Farhan Akhtar’s second film as director. In fact, her co-star Hrithik Roshan even joked how ‘her hair in the first half is the only thing he’d change about Lakshya’ on Koffee With Karan. We’d say that about post-interval too, Duggu.

Karisma Kapoor, Biwi No 1

Lolo strikes a stylish pose and pixie-meets-mushroom fusion hairstyle to break her kanjeevaram monotony in the David Dhawan comedy, Biwi No 1.

Tabu, Hu Tu Tu

Bollywood’s all-time Ms Fabulous rocks her short crop in Gulzar’s Hu Tu Tu with such easy conviction. It’s hard to believe it’s only a wig.

Twinkle Khanna, Baadshah

Before turning a celebrity columnist with a real taste for humour, Bollywood’s beloved fashionista Twinkle Khanna gamely agreed to wear that flimsy excuse of a pixie on her head.

Pooja Bhatt, Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee

The baby-faced Pooja Bhatt of the 1990s looks even more youthful with her shabby pixie wig playing a psychologically unstable woman in father Mahesh Bhatt’s television film.
