Amitabh started the shoot of the film on Lucknow on Tuesday, June 18.

Gulabo Sitabo is directed by Shoojit Sircar, who earlier directed Bachchan in Shoebite, a film which never released, and Piku, and produced PINK.
Written by Sircar's longtime associate Juhi Chaturvedi, Gulabo Sitabo features Amitabh alongside Ayushmann Khurrana for the first time in this quirky comedy, which releases on April 24, 2020.
