20 Hindi Movies To Watch Out For In 2015

Which movies should you watch in the coming year? We draw up a list.

The year 2015 has some pretty good movies lined up.

Here's a quick look, in the first part of this special.

 

Tevar

Sanjay Kapoor debuts as a producer for nephew Arjun Kapoor's Tevar, co-starring Sonakshi Sinha.

Considering the successful box office records of the lead actors and the fact that Tevar is the first big film of 2015, expectations are high.

Release: January 9 

 

Baby

There is a lot of buzz surrounding Akshay Kumar's next release Baby.

This is his second collaboration with director Neeraj Pandey after the success of Special 26.

Release: January 23

 

Dolly Ki Doli

After the moderate success of Khoobsurat, Sonam Kapoor will be seen in Arbaaz Khan-produced comedy Dolly Ki Doli, in which she plays a runaway bride. 

The wacky promo looks intriguing, thanks to the presence of actors like Rajkummar Rao, Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma.

Release: January 23


Khamoshiyaan

The Bhatts are known to churn out hits even with rank newcomers.

So it doesn't matter if their next film Khamoshiyaan stars Ali Fazal (Fukrey, Bobby Jasoos), who is yet to establish his credentials as a solo lead, and debutants -- television actor Gurmeet Choudhary and Sapna Pabbi (seen earlier as Anil Kapoor's daughter in 24). 

Release: January 30



Shamitabh

Almost a year after his last release, Bhoothnath Returns, Amitabh Bachchan returns with Shamitabh

With R Balki (Paa, Cheeni Kum) at the helm of affairs, this one promises to be a real entertainer.

The film also stars Dhanush and Kamal Haasan's daughter, Akshara, who will make her movie debut here.

Release: February 6


Badlapur

Varun Dhawan may be just three films old but the young actor is not afraid of experimenting with roles. 

He will be next seen in Sriram Raghavan's (of Johnny Gaddaar and Ek Haseena Thi fame) thriller, Badlapur. The promo is superb.

Release: February 20


Mastizaade

Writer Milap Zaveri has scored some hits recently, with Ek Villain, Main Tera Hero, Shootout at Wadala and Grand Masti.

After his 2010 release, Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai, Zaveri is expected to deliver a hit with his new film too.

The adult comedy stars Sunny Leone, Tusshar Kapoor and Virr Das.

Release: February 20

 

Phantom

The hit team of director-producer Kabir Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala returns with Phantom, starring Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif.

Phantom, dealing with 26/11, is crucial for Saif, as his recent movies (Humshakals and Happy Ending) are failing at the box office.

Release: April 3

 

Mr X

Emraan Hashmi reunites with the Bhatts after Raaz 3

Directed by Vikram Bhatt, Mr X is a sci-fi affair, with plenty of VFX on display.

Release: April 17

 

Bombay Velvet

More than six months after it was originally planned to hit theatres, Anurag Kashyap's Bombay Velvet will now release in May.

The film stars Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, and reportedly explores a new style of storytelling.

Release: May 15
