The test is over. And now, it's time to see the results.

November 9, 2007, is a milestone in Bollywood, as it gave the world three new movie stars.

With the clash of Om Shanti Om and Saawariya at the box office, we were introduced to Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor.

A decade has passed since then and it's time to look at their report card.

Who's the biggest stasr? Who hasn't done as well as expected?

We take a look.

Om Shanti Om was not Deepika’s first film; she had already starred in the Kannada film, Aishwarya. But it was her big Bollywood debut.

And what a terrific start it was!

Dips went on to craft a successful career and become one of the top actresses in India.

There have been rough patches -- with back-to-back flops like Chandni Chowk To China, Karthik Calling Karthik, Break Ke Baad and Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey.

But intermittent successes, albeit small, like Bachna Ae Haseeno and Lafangey Parinde, kept her going.

Hits like Love Aaj Kal and Housefull ensured she was in contention among the leading ladies.

The game changer was Cocktail. From that point on, there has been no looking back and Deepika has been taken seriously as an actress.

But the big money spinners were Race 2 and Ye Jawaani Hai Deewani.

By the time Chennai Express, Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram Leela and Happy New Year arrived, she was at the top of her game.

Experiments like Kochadaiiyaan and xXx: The Return of Xander Cage may not have worked but critical acclaim, coupled with commercial success in films like Piku and Bajirao Mastani, proved that Dips is one of the most versatile actresses in Bollywood today.

Her upcoming release, Padmavati, is expected to be the latest cherry on her cake.

Ranbir Kapoor

Perennially tagged as the ‘next big thing', Ranbir Kapoor is the heartbreaking tale of solid talent marred by bad choice of movies.

After a disastrous start with Saawariya, Ranbir was seen in a youthful entertainer called Bachna Ae Haseeno.

And then he started experimenting... a little too much.

Wake Up Sid may have paid off but Rocket Singh: Salesman Of The Year, though a lovely film, did not.

Whenever he moved towards commercial cinema, with films like Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Raajneeti, he scored

Some of his experiments like Barfi! worked, while others like Besharam did not.

Rockstar was an average grosser while Tamasha and Roy didn’t work. But he found respite in the blockbuster, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

Experiments like Bombay Velvet and Jagga Jasoos backfired.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil worked and that kept his stock high.

His big bet should be the Dutt biopic, directed by hit-maker Rajkumar Hirani, that will release in March.

After that, he has Brahmastra, opposite Alia Bhatt. His best buddy, director Ayan Mukherjee -- who has given him Yeh Jawaani Hi Deewani and Wake Up Sid --  helms this project.

Sonam Kapoor

Like Ranbir, Sonam had a rocky start in the disaster, Saawariya.

Her performance was noticed in Delhi 6 but her hit film, I Hate Luv Storys, was dismissed as a bubblegum affair.

Thank You, Mausam and Players, all from different genres, did not help her cause while a small success like Aisha was slotted as an urban fantasy.

Things finally began changing for Sonam with the hit, Raanjhanaa.

She had a small part in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, but its success brushed off on her.

The actress came into her own with Khoobsurat, an out-and-out Sonam Kapoor show. The film may not have been a bumper success but it saw a good following among the youth.

Her mega success was Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, which brought her into the Rs 200 crore club.

Sonam’s winning moment was Neerja. The film came out of nowhere and Sonam gave an award-winning performance.

It became clear that, when given a stage to perform, Sonam would deliver.

The same is now expected from her in her next film, Veere Di Wedding.
