Bhootwala revolves around Vicky (Rajesh Kumar), who inherits his grandfather's old bungalow. He becomes almost bankrupt, thanks to the stock market, and flees the city with his friend Ram (Dhruv Singh) to avoid a moneylender.

Seeing a ray of hope in his inheritance, Vicky decides to turn the bungalow into a guesthouse, and clear his debts. Little does he know that he's not the sole inheritor of the house -- making their presence known is a family of ghosts, who have made themselves quite comfortable in Vicky's bungalow.

Each episode shows off a hilarious face-off between the family of bhoots and the family of humans, and their constant attempts to out-do each other.

The ghosts played by Kiku Sharda, Anup Upadhaya, Melissa Pai and Manju Brijnandan Sharma while the humans are played by Rajesh Kumar, Dhruv Singh and Shital Maulik.
