There were reports that Akshay and Sanjay were at loggerheads with each other while shooting for Blue because the latter found out that Akshay was using his close association with [production house] Ashtvinayak to chop his role.
But Anthony denied the incident. "In fact, Akshay told me to add some scenes of Sanjay Dutt to make the film more effective. All this talk about a rift between Dutt and Akshay is baseless," he said.
At the event, when a reporter asked Akshay if there was tension between the two, he replied with a laugh, "Can't you see the tension? Sanjay Dutt is sitting far away from me!"
Sanjay, on his part, called Akshay his 'brother.'
