The organisers decorated the hotel to great effect -- it had a distinct blue look, as well as a lot of sand, giving the place a beach look.
While the event was grand, A R Rahman's absence was sorely felt. The Oscar winner, who has composed the music for this film, could not make it to the event as he fell ill.
