I don't think I am mature enough to understand my ability as an actor. I am a director's actor. Also I think I should be able to pull off any role. I can't play a superman looking like a middle aged man or vice versa. So now in 3 Idiots, we have to look like students. So I am more than excited to give it a shot and it will be great to pull off a student's character at this age.

How do you keep yourself away from controversies? We don't see you in any gossip mags?

I am very boring, yaar. I spend a lot of time building my airplanes, I don't go out only. I am always with family on holidays. I am always playing golf. Now I am beginning to play basketball and badminton too. So maybe it is this sportiness and that I don't go to filmi parties or get into a liaison with any of my co-stars.

What do you during your free time?

I am an aero-modeller -- I build models of planes and fly them. This takes a lot of my time. I also like to watch movies, listen to music and spend a lot of time with my son. I'm really enjoying my life right now.

Have you watched Slumdog Millionaire and do you think it deserved the Oscars?

Yes, I watched it. But I didn't like the film. I am not going into the aspect of how they have portrayed India but it is just that the movie didn't touch me. Slumdog Millionaire was an okay film and super-hyped.

I have seen many other films that are much better. This movie really pales in comparison. I really think Rahman deserves the Oscar far more for half the work he has done much before Slumdog Millionaire ever came into the picture. I think he is God. He is outstanding, a musician par excellence and can never be equated with anyone.
