I believe in God. I am not a ritualistic person. In the film, there's a very strange concept we have discussed. Nobody knows what electricity is. But we all know it exists because there are two poles -- positive and negative -- and because electricity flows between the poles, it exists. Similarly with the magnetic field.

Similarly, if you consider God as a positive force, then there has to be equally powerful negative force for God to exist. So if God is a force, then what is the other force which is not God. I am personally not inclined towards God or ghosts or spookiness.

I haven't been afraid of it either. But I have always tried to explore the possibility of another alternative force present. This film makes you think about many things.

Do you remember any instance during shooting that was scary?

A lot of spooky things. Really strange things, something or the other would happen. We couldn't shoot at 13:00 hours. 13:00 is the time when the particular serial is telecast and every day at that particular time something would happen, stopping us from shooting. We had to break for lunch at 12:55 pm because we couldn't shoot at 1 pm.

The lens would fall off, two people would get into a fight, a light would fall off, something would start burning. We didn't want such hassles, so we would pack up at 12:55 and start shooting again from 13:55.

On the 13th of every month we couldn't shoot because of unbelievable reasons. Can you believe that we had floods in Chennai on December 13th? It is unheard of. Chennai is devoid of water and people are always fighting over it.

Since then we decided not to schedule anything on the 13th at all. I never believed in Friday the 13 funda at all. I think it is only the film; once it is over, everything will be fine.

Another funny thing was whenever the director wanted to fly somewhere he would find his seat was 13B or some seat on the 13th row. If he went to watch a movie, he would be given a seat on the 13th row. It was crazy and eerie.

How was it working with Vikram? This being his first Hindi film, how well did he manage?

He was completely in control. It is very easy to get inundated when you have stalwarts like P C Sreeram and Sameer Chanda and even me on the sets. But to be in control over everyone was commendable. He is a very good friend and we are like chaddi yaars, but on the sets, I have to give him the respect he deserves.
