Since Sun Pictures has acquired the rights to distribute the Dhanush-Tamannah starrer Padikkathavan, the film has become one of the hottest Pongal releases. It is interesting to note that Padikkathavan is the title of an old Rajnikanth (Dhanush's father-in-law) film!
The movie is directed by Suraj and produced by Vijaya Vahini Productions.
