Yes, the journey is a symbolic one. All of us travel, both outwardly and inwardly. We have to have belief in ourselves, our intellect and our heart to choose the right path. I feel we have to surrender to open spaces and also the emptiness ahead.

You told me last time that in both your films, you had to make compromises because of the demands from the producers. Did you compromise for Nandhalala?

No, I haven't made any compromise in this film. Luckily, I got good producers. They believe in me.

Ilayaraja Sir (music director) asked me whether I want any song like Vaala Meenukkum. I told him to do what comes to his mind. I wanted simple and different tunes.

This is a film straight from my heart and I am sure it will reach the hearts of the audience too.
