The finest Ramsay feature, this Tulsi-and-Shyam flick is not steeped in what has now become iconic Ramsay cliche -- no titillation, no taekhanas, no Jagdeep-driven comedy track, and, most crucially, no monster.
The film stars Shobha as a damsel in distress eventually revealed as the vilest of screen vamps, paying for her sins as one of her victims returns from the grave. A marvellously macabre watch.
