Budhdhivantha directed by Ramnath Rigwedhi starred Upendra in the lead.
This movie is the remake of K Balachandar's Naan Avanillai which was made some twenty five years ago with Gemini Ganeshan in the lead.
Another Tamil film Naan Avanillai starring Jeevan was released recently which was also the re-make of K Balachandar's classic.
Budhdhivantha will see Upendra working with five heroines -- Pooja Gandhi, Saloni, Suman Ranganath, Brunda and Nethanya. The songs have been lifted from Jeevan's recent film Naan Avanillai.
