'Aamir Khan wanted a DVD of Grahanam'

How was it working with the award-winning director Mohankrishna?

Pleasantly surprising. He doesn't behave like an award-winning director. Aamir Khan wanted a DVD of Grahanam when he presented Mohan with the Gollapudi Srinivas Award. Mohan is extremely educated and aware of good music, books and films and you grow as a person especially at this age. Mohan is nice, chilled out and very cool.

How was it working with newcomer Nani in Ashta Chamma

Everything was fun. There was energy and improvisation on the sets. Since Nani was an assistant director, he knew about filmmaking. This was the first time I shot songs -- especially romantic ones. Nani was chilled out. Since we were of the same age group we had a blast on the sets.

Could you talk about your interaction with the other co-stars, Srini and Bhargavi?

Srini is a joker -- full of undying wit. He would say his jokes with a straight face. Bhargavi was pleasant to work with. I did not have many scenes with her though.
