'I gained six kilos to look like a girl from Chandigarh'

Giving the fact that models are encouraged to be size zero, how much weight did Priyanka have to lose for the film? "No no, in fact I gained six kilos because I had to look like a girl from Chandigarh, who comes to Mumbai to become a supermodel. So I had to look plump in the beginning, and then gradually lose weight," she says.

Priyanka claims that she does not believe in size zero. "I don't believe in crash diets. I condemn those. The inherent beauty is gone if you try to achieve size zero. For health reasons, I feel you should be fit. There are other ways to achieve that rather than going on a crash diet."

In conclusion, does the film really bare any resemblance to the fashion industry? "None of the characters in the film are real," she says. "There are incidents of fashion industry here. This is not a biopic or a documentary. It's not even about sensationalism. Our characters are not like that. The film is only based on the fashion industry. It is the emotional journey of a girl, who aspires to become a supermodel."
