'I am equally comfortable with serious as well as commerical cinema'

How did the role in Adayalangal happen?

I had acted in a music album titled Monjulla Paikili, which had songs sung by Vineeth Sreenivasan. Director M G Sasi, stays near my place at Pattambi near Palakkad, happened to see the video and asked me if I would like to do this role in Adayalangal. He had explained about the nature of the character at that time itself and had told me that I would have to prepare well for the role.

You have started off with a serious film. Do you have plans to be a part of the commercial set up as well?

As an actor, I can't differentiate cinema into various types like serious and commercial. I am equally comfortable with both genres. I have approached the music album and Adayalangal with the same kind of passion, though the efforts that went into them are different.
