For a sensuous screen presence, and curves that would bowl over any red-blooded male, Madhavi probably came second only to Sridevi, and the movies she did with Kamal showed a very definite leaning towards showcasing a young, hip girl who wasn't afraid of being an urban woman.

Be it the thriller Tick, tick, tick where Kamal played a photographer inadvertently caught in a smuggling trap, while she played a model prancing in a bikini; or Kakki Sattai where she was the gun-toting moll to his wannabe police officer, Madhavi ably supported Kamal's cool performances with her hot moves.

Kamal, it seemed, was mischievously aware of what she was out to do, as evidenced in Raja Paarvai, where he played a blind violinist. They made an appealing and sexy screen pairing, with surprisingly few illusions about each other.
