The chemistry Sridevi shared with Kamal in the early years of her career was simply amazing.

If Kamal had the pick of meaty roles -- a soft-spoken teacher who nurses his love in Moondram Pirai, a psychotic killer in Sigappu Rojakkal and a fiery young man who lives by his principles in Varumaiyin Niram Sigappu, Sridevi matched him in every pace and her obvious chemistry with him showed.

Movies like 16 Vayathinile and Meendum Kokila, which were different from run-of-the-mill stories, were examples of how well they vibed together even in story-oriented flicks.

Watch Guru, on the other hand, and you will see them having a lovey-dovey romp, almost unaware of being in front of camera.

With Kamal, Sridevi had most of her Tamil hits, and the pair became a favourite among filmmakers.
