Paresh Rawal
All his movies are great; he is an excellent performer -- whether we see his work in Godhuli, Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyon Ata Hai or Paar. My all-time favourite is Sparsh. He did fabulous work in that.
I don't think he is one of the great actors in Indian Cinema. I think he is the greatest actor in Indian cinema. He is at par with Al Pacino and all those great Hollywood actors. I look up to him for inspiration.
I would like to share an incident that shows his passion for drama. In 2001, he left everything and went for a year with Peter's Group -- one of the famous names in dramatics -- for a one-minute role. Everyone stopped him from doing that, as they thought it was a waste of time to give a year for a one-minute role.
When I asked him about it, he replied that he wanted to reconfirm his principles and work -- whether what he was doing was right or not.
Naseerbhai learns and improves at this age too.
