Abbas Tyrewala
He was superb in Masoom. He brought out guilt, vulnerability and anguish very well. He did a better job than the original film, Man Woman and Child -- he was far better than Martin Sheen.
I also liked him as a lawyer in Aakrosh, and his Bhaiji character in Omkara -- the kind of edge and strength that character had was something to watch out for. He was fabulous in Mirch Masala too.
I was fortunate to direct him, Ratna Pathak Shah and Paresh Rawal in Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na. They are outstanding actors.
In the picture: A still from Masoom.
