The Golden Globe winners, 2008

Daniel Day-Lewis won his first Golden Globe award for Best Actor, for the film, There Will Be Blood. The 50-year-old actor who has given us brilliant performances in films like My Left Foot and Gangs Of New York, had been nominated four times for the Globes earlier. This year, he beat George Clooney, James McAvoy, Viggo Mortensen and Denzel Washington to bag the award.
