The Golden Globe winners, 2008

The 65th Golden Globe awards did not see the glam and glitter it saw in its previous years. The ongoing Writers' Guild Strike in Hollywood forced the Globes to call off the award ceremony, and instead, awards were simply read out in a press conference.
The Best Actor (Comedy or Musical) went to Johnny Depp, for his performance in Sweeney Todd. The Tim Burton film, about a serial killer barbar, also won the Best Film Award.
