Vidhu Vinod Chopra seemed to do everything in his power to take his film Eklavya to the Oscars, and justify it's presence there. And while doing so, he ruffled quite a few feathers.

One of those hugely upset was Shah Rukh Khan. Chopra stated that no one had opposed Paheli, when it was sent to the Oscars in 2005, even though there were better films during that year.

His statement came at a time when SRK was about to start shooting for Raj Kumar Hirani's adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's novel, Five Point Something, to be produced by Chopra. SRK took offence and walked out of the project. The film has still not taken off.
