Sikander
Sohrab Modi's Sikander aka Alexander was set in 326 BC, after the Greek king conquered Persia and Kabul, and headed for the Indian subcontinent next.
When Sikander attacked King Porus's territory in Punjab, Sikander's wife Roxana pleaded with Porus and asked him not to harm her husband.
In the battle, Porus gets captured. In a famous dialogue, Sikander asked Porus how he wanted to be treated. Porus replied that he wanted to be treated the way one king treats another. Impressed by his valour, Sikander released him and gave his territory back.
Fact: After fighting several battles, Alexander's troops were very tired and did not want to go any further.
The last battle with Porus destroyed Alexander's army so badly that he was forced to return Porus' kingdom, as well as additional territories.
And Roxana was not involved in the battle in any way.
