Meera Jasmine did not have a great 2008, as none of her films did well at the box office. Yet, she was the only heroine to make an impact at the initial collections.

She started the year with Blessy's Calcutta News with Dileep, followed by Sathyan Anthikkad's Innathe Chinthavishayam, in which she matched Mohanlal's eminence. Then, there was Innathe Chinthavishayam and Kamal's Minnaminnikkoottam.

Meera Jasmine still leads directors' wishlists for strong characters.
