Haage Summane, a Kannada film directed by Mungaru Male writer Preetham Gubbi, is a good effort. It is evident that the entire team -- from writer-director Preetham Gubbi, cinemetographer Krishna, music director Mano Murthy, lyricist Jayanth Kaikini, editor Deepu and the costume and art designers -- has worked hard on the film.

The film does not boast of a great story but of its fresh design. The lead young actors have excelled in the acting department. Beautiful locales, extraordinary music and brilliant cinematography makes the film a good watch.

Born to a rich family, the pampered Preetham does not care about his responsibilities. One day he meets Kushi, a music student, and falls in love. After a series of disappearing acts, Preetham and Kushi understand the extent of love they have for each other after an engrossing climax.

Gubbi has shown his calibre not only in story telling but in the way he has shot the songs too. Singers Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal, Udit Narayan and Kunal Ganjawala also enhance the songs.

Newcomers Kiran and Suhasi are the find of the season. Both look good on screen and prove that they can act. Yesteryear hero Edakallu Guddadhamele Chandrashekhar and Sharath Babu do well. Yamuna is a good choice for the role of heroine's mother.

Haage Summane is a candyfloss love story, worth a watch.
