The rocking success of Saroja proves that Venkat Prabhu's first film Chennai 600028 was not a flash in the pan. The director has great sense of humour, which surfaces beautifully in the script. He also understands the medium and his audience well, and knows how to pace the film. The well-made thriller has quite a few funny moments.

The biggest compliment Venkat Prabhu got was that it was projected to compensate the distributors' losses from Rajni's Kuselan!
