The Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi director always wanted to play a bad guy, and Page 3 director Madhur Bhandarkar gave the silver haired Mishra a chance to play the Fagin-like Afzal Bhai.
Then again, Mishra already appeared on screen in his on Hazaaron, Prakash Jha's Rahul -- and most memorably, as a reporter in that Kundan Shah masterpiece he wrote, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro. (That film also featured Vidhu Vinod Chopra as a hilarious Duhshasan, for the record.)
