Director Sahuraj Shinde, who has written the story, says that he had discussed a small story line with Darshan during the making of Snehaanaa Preethinaa.
"Darshan sir liked the story line and told me to develop it. That is how Arjun was developed. Since I was conscious of Darshan sir's larger than life image, I took care to include comedy, sentiment and some dynamic action sequences. My work became easier after Anant Nag signed the film. He was very impressed with the script. Arjun's strong story is the mainstay of the film," Sahuraj Shinde says.
Jayanna, who distributed many successful films of Darshan like Daasa, Shashtri and Gaja, says, "We had a good relationship with Darshan and wanted to make a film with him. Finally Darshan agreed to give us the dates to make big budget film but I can tell you that the distribution rights of the film were sold in fifteen minutes. That is the power of Darshan," says Jayanna.
