In Abbas Mustan's sinistrous love triangle, Humraaz, Star Cruise Virgo plays an instrumental role of adding novelty and infusing glamour.

Incidentally, the shooting of this Bobby Deol-Akshaye Khanna-Amisha Patel thriller got delayed by three months owing to delay in acquiring permission to shoot on the cruise liner.

The script, loosely inspired by A Perfect Murder (Michael Douglas, Viggo Mortensen, Gwyneth Paltrow), portrays cruise-owner Bobby contract a musical troupe featuring Amisha and Akshaye to perform, en route Singapore to Malaysia.
